Alpek acquired additional supply rights to 100,000 metric tons per year of PET from M&G's Corpus Christi site

Monterrey, Mexico. January 21, 2016 – Alpek, S.A.B. de C.V. (“Alpek”) announced today that it has signed an agreement with M&G Chemicals (“M&G”) to add 100 thousand metric tons of integrated PET per year to the sourcing agreement announced on April 16, 2013.

As reference, on April 16, 2013 Alpek announced that it had agreed to acquire supply contractual rights of 400 thousand metric tons per year of integrated PET (made with 336 thousand metric tons of PTA) from M&G’s integrated PTA-PET plant that is being built in Corpus Christi, Texas (“M&G Facility”).

Alpek’s aggregate supply contractual rights from the M&G Facility will amount to 500 thousand metric tons per year of integrated PET (made with 420 thousand metric tons of PTA), upon completion.
